Koke'e State Park offers commanding views of the lush, amphitheater-headed Kalalau Valley from 4000 feet elevation. Wildland picnicking, tent camping and lodging. Hiking in native rain forest and along rim of Waimea Canyon; additional trails in neighboring forest reserves. Excellent area for observation of native plants, forest birds and insects. Seasonal plum picking and trout fishing. Pig hunting in public hunting area.
Koke'e offers tent camping opportunities with minimally developed campsites.
Hawaii Residents: $12 per campsite per night for up to 6 persons; $2 per night for each additional person*. Maximum fee per site: $20/night.
Non-residents: $18 per campsite per night for up to 6 persons; $3 per night for each additional person*. Maximum fee per site: $30/night.

15 miles north of Kekaha on Koke‘e Road (Highway 550) at 3600 feet elevation; adjoins Waimea Canyon State Park.
May occupy camp site from 1:00 p.m. on first day of reservation and must leave camp site by 12:00 p.m. on departure date.
